Extraordinary w/ no shame- you only wish you had my game!! Most loyal as you will ever meet; its great to be ME!! So, since I have no yes or no without the 'drama' of an 'antic' to SAY...come on in...the water is FiNe ;)

Kindle Fire is HOT!
Tomorrow I will have had my Kindle Fire for a week- picked it up at the Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport last Friday :)) Worked out the internet FBing, Googling, gmail, calendar, banking & Pinterest; downloaded a few movies to watch (one being After the Wedding which I TOTALLY suggest!), then a few books of WHICH I am starting the first one, Marie Antoinette The Journey by Antonia Fraser so as to REALLY get a feel for the proclaimed e-readers of our generation!! Totally happy with my choice to get a KF over a tablet/pad of any sort. Its bigger than my Sprint EVO & not as big as the tablets...which was the draw!! PERFECT FIT!

Something You May Not Expect...
I'm a fanatic about certain pages on Facebook. No, really :). Hard to believe I like FB I know. But these pages especially have my full attention- no laughing now ;)
Homesteading/Survivalism
Frugal Living
Bartering
Back to the Basics
Authentic Christian Living
Raising Chickens
Proverbs 31 Woman
and multiple other pages of exhibiting probably get an idea of a desire I have you weren't keenly aware I had.
No biggy...you know now lol
Anyhow, on the Frugal Living page (of which is ran by the same person running one of the bartering pages), a topic was brought up and I thought I should blog it just to have record of my own words... Since I utilize my FB to share, in depth, my thoughts from time to time- most times received rather well- although not always HAAA! I felt I was doing my own blog a disservice not documenting what I feel passionate about when I feel 'removed' and the words come from deep within which I know is my spirit of connection with all I believe in through my faith and through what my own life experiences and those of others have grasped onto.
May they touch your heart or, at the least, give you something to mull over...
We have become an enabled ppl...
We rely on government of which responsibility IS NOT theirs...
At some point we stopped becoming self-reliant...
And sadly, much of that point began when 2nd cars were desired to provide transportation for the 2nd income WHICH was needed for items purchased at stores instead of made/created in the home which is turn eliminated quality time between family members teaching homesteading skills... The 2nd job paid for transportation costs, more square footage ie individual bedrooms set up w/ personal TVs even more alienating family members one from the other. 2nd incomes pays for daycare...no more sibling responsibility much means more freedom & less accountability for youth at younger ages...
Public schools have become the essence of the Pink Floyd movement- press stamping out millions believing only what the GOVERNMENT run public schools want our children to believe. Personally I believe God has a much larger purpose for us aside from algebra :). It is to put forth hard work & efforts to maintain the ideals behind love, empathy and charity of FAVORS that our OWN HANDS can GIVE...thus making it a humbling experience for both the giver & the receives.
My grandparents do not recall ppl who were LAZY...if you wanted to eat in the winter months & have warm clothes then you minded to be busy as needed.
Having come from NE Ohio I've spoken intimately to parents in the Amish communities & even they attest to the changes in their sects... The girls going to further their education & not learning the traditional ways to care for her family- frugal ways of simple gardening & food storage, cooking, tailoring, the efforts of bonding with children by specific times dedicated to their families.
Simply put, raising our families are our number one concern. They don't NEED separate rooms or a boat for summer. They don't NEED a yearly summer vacation or a TV in their room or video games on hand. They need TIME...not that time alone in their cave-room, not time during the months the boat can be used & not the time during vacation. We need to use our LIMITED family time to create QUALITY TIME every moment we can training them to be self-reliant...
You say encouraging them to be independent, get grades, giving them space and paying for them to have an education is ALL they need?? That all is reliant on an ECONOMY THAT WORKS my friends... Don't allow the world to train up yr child. Don't allow the American Dream to deter yr true nature to skip the essentials of teaching your family to TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES AND ONE ANOTHER COME HELL OR HIGH WATER.
We have given up traditional family values for the almighty dollar, more of so much of everything else except time with those we SAY we do it for. TAKE BACK what is yours...reject what is called socially acceptable because you deserve it... Time is short...
To young parents- you have an 18yr limit MAYBE with the gifts you are blessed with... You don't get a do-over. There is no restart button. Be mindful that your example will overflow into how your grandchildren WILL in part, be treated.
Take heed the importance of beginning a new path aside from what we know...because what we know, its just not working...let's get back to the basics- they have worked for much longer than we can begin to image...

To Drink or Not to Drink?
As I mentioned, I'm cruising at 39,000 feet from Houston to Akron-Canton (Ohio in case you are clueless- Canton is where the Pro Football Hall of Fame resides, as well as 4ft of snow from December thru March haha)...
For some reason Delta does not seem to keep Kahlua in stock...ya'know, to make a White Russian..? Ohhh, but they offer me Baileys Irish Cream. As if I have a choice if I want milk to drink, right? So of COURSE I will take it, is the 'flight attendant' serious?? My choice is Baileys or straight milk? Ehhhh, give it herrrrre already!! WOW. And then you have these Biscoff cookies. Can someone PLEASE get me the address of the person who came up with this recipe?? The cookie & the drink go perfect together- who am I kidding...so for a mere $14 (they charge $7 a drink but it's TWO bottle of liquor- rum & Baileys) I can spend at least 3/4 of my trip tipping & sipping (hehehe I've always wanted to say that!!)...
Anyone out there know what this drink is called- IF it has a name at all??
I can tell you from personal experience that drinking a little Baileys in one's milk makes for an easy natural sleep-aid. HEY NOW, I am not talking stumbling into the bedroom & waking up laying cross-ways on one's bed!! People take so many prescription drugs for sleep aid when maybe something more simple (and NOT synthetic) would help & did I mention NOT synthetic & natural? If you are under 21 in the USA and/or an alcoholic (hey, you have to say that these days!( I suggest you not try this at home...or anywhere for that matter. All others, tip & sip! :)
And my choice to drink while in-flight is brought on for no other reason than 1. I enjoy the taste of creamy milk- prob the reason I enjoy mocha cappuccino's! and 2. to relax. Yes Buspar (an anxiety medication) would do the trick but then I find myself grabbing a cup o'joe while still on the ground, breaking off a quarter of a Buspar & STILL ordering that $14 non-white Russian (would a Russian take that as a racist comment by chance??)!! What happens then is a sure bet (and see, now I am sounding like a gambler!)- I am wired from caffeine, talking quietly AND to myself AND tipping & sipping LOL Yes, I tell ppl this who comment about my drinking. No I have not ventured to 2 drinks- oh my, that would be $24, FOUR of those little bottles (which some ppl get THE biggest kick out of & save haha...ok, I admit I used to be one of them LOL)...but anyone that knows me can reference my lack of ability to consume alcohol. Hey, I would order a Modelo Especial but it's not an option! Who of you will go see what THAT is? First one gets to post their find...
Ready...
Set...
GO!
Drink Responsibly whether in the air or on the ground, because eventually, you gotta walk to your final destination & it's a long way down from where I am sitting at the moment! ;)

The Wait Has Ended...
...off the cuff & on the level--for now anyhow :)
Although this is informal, short & to the point (very unlike me)...I wanted to get it out there so when the good stuff begins to flow, some of ya'll are 'following' me already :))
I am dedicated to keep this particular blog up & already have a cache of idea's & even old things I have written & stories I have put down on paper in the past to share...and discuss!!
I am SO excited to 'get it out'!!
You are more than welcome to follow my All in the Family blog which I started a couple years ago...it was a trial & I will probably keep it up for family. It has just gotten to where what I want to *SAY* on facebook is TOO MUCH information...and being long-winded, such as I am...YES REALLY!!!
I am currently cruising at 39,000 feet on a Delta flight
en-route from Houston (IAH) to Ohio (flying into Akron-Canton CAK) to be picked up with my friends- more of why, when & how will follow as you catch up... But I can say this, I am TOTALLY excited to see my friends & break bread with them at The Golden Pig as it has become my most favorite local dive! (south of Pittsburgh, in Cecil) Yong, the owner, has taken to me & I to her- I've spent a Sunday with her shopping The Market District on her only day off, blahblahblah, thats another post hehehe BUT it's fair to say that Yong & I have gotten to be pretty good friends :)) I will be super-happy to see her smiling at me & feel her arms wrap around me, welcoming me back & her earnest & heartfelt curiosity of who my friends are & what is she feeding us :)) I hope that my friends Wrennifer, her husband Meester Mike & a friends I've known since Girl Scouts in gradeschool, DiAnne are HUNGRY because chances are we will be ordering half the menu by golly!! YUM!
We went house-hunting while in the Houston area. If you aren't dedicated to one area it's exhausting driving about- it makes for good bonding time to be sure & having a 14month old grandbaby princess makes it all that more detailed as it's a feat to keep her entertained in the backseat from 10am till after 5pm...and being that is my preference (to be in the back seat with herrrrr) I find I need to be prepared with a 'Grannie Bag' although we will be utilizing a 'GiGi Bag'... hey, what about "iGiGi"...I come equipped- and with a bit more practice it's a gig I am hopeful to perfect hehehe
The house-hunting went...wellll...as good as house-hunting can go. We aren't strapped with any REAL hardships in the hunt itself as the market is pretty defined & anything remotely close to what we would WANT to live in- somewhat to what we would purchase or build, is running near 4K a month. I mean, SERIOUSLY?? Rent at 4K? We aren't in San Fran, LA or Manhattan- it doesn't matter what kind of money we would make, I don't think, even property you aren't around to care for or REALLY know how to run is just not...worth it...if you ask me- but you didn't...this is MY blog HAHAHAHA :P
Here is little of what we saw:
I know the husband would like at least 15acres. I could deal with up to 30 but I can tell you- the entrance, the drive to the house itself, that landscaping around 'living' area's like a gazebo by a pond or dock...HA! Aside from that, I have no interest in being responsible for it...so if it can't take care of itself, don't come to me when the cows get out & expect me to corral them back into the area from whence it came OR fix the fencing where they may have 'escaped' from LOL I doubt that cow police or fence maintenance is found in the yellow pages. Just sayin!! We are putting our recent hardship of loosing the BnB in writing attached
to our credit report while submitting applications- (one so far!) So it's very humbling & this is a good time to begin blogging! For right now I may copy ramblings & blubberings over to my other blog but, I am on a roll & do not feel like I am going to do that much, if at all once I am 'up & running'...
Welp, Here I Am & this is whats going on- I don't plan on making this a diary of day to day ramblings- although I do plan on writing about specific topics... I have a FB & my closest friends & relatives would be bored to DEATH seeing a repeat on this blog and BESIDES, if you aren't on my FB, then YOU would be bored to death instead of laughing, disagreeing, inspired or indulging in 'on the level' and off the cuff stuff right here...about right now :)
If it's any consolation, my aim is not to create a blog focused on religion, politics, etc BUT that doesn't mean I won't ever post something that is on my mind in regards to either religion OR politics, NOR am I going to promise that a specific topic won't lead to a conversation about religion, politics, etc... I know me & I believe there is enough idea's for blogs running through my brain to keep me pretttttttyyyy busy!
And nooo, for you naysayers- saying I am not dedicating this to Jesus Christ, my Lord & Savior- that doesn't make me a hypocrite because of course I dedicate all I do to His glory but, in the realm of the peeps & peepettes I am directing this towards, family, friends, 'strangers'...
I do not want anyone feeling they have come here & wonder if they are hung up with some crazy Bible loon-
Everything in moderation for some, but for me, I gulp the good stuff.
..and I hope you find this such that YOU are gulping.
By the way- there WILL be a book, it's already in the making...so, know you may well have heard it HERE 1st :) That all means to getcha'som now by 'following' me...not just with an email either...come on, don't be shy now!

HOWEVER, as a sinner, I feel I am held to being accountable to being Christ-like!
Y'knowWhatImeanVern?
That does NOT mean I am being judgmental to anyone else- just I am being 'hard on myself' in my own personal views of how things work in my own view of my world...you are welcome to come along :)
My truth may not be what your truth is but where two or more are gathered
...we can always search for the truth together :)
